Great advice! One that I had to teach my husband was to put our daughter to bed about half an hour before he wanted to.

He thought I was mean when she was very young and I started putting her down at 6:30. He also thought it would make her wake up at 4am or earlier. We were both grateful when that wasn't the case and she started sleeping until about midnight to feed and then until 7am! It seems backwards, but by putting her to bed before she was completely worn out, she calmed herself down and got a good night's rest.
