Family Dynamics is a nonprofit marriage and family ministry headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee (just outside of Nashville). They help churches and organizations take proactive steps to prevent marriages from reaching a state of distress and to revive those that are already in distress.
Their website is full of online resources. Those resources include:
- Self-Evaluation Form
- Marriage Articles
- Book Store
- Love Quiz / Love Test
The Love Quiz and Relationship Test is particularly interesting. They use a 9-point likert scale to measure the defining characteristics of a person's relationship. The questionnaire is automatically scored, and they provide a score for intimacy, passion, and commitment. For each area, they also provide an explanation of what each score means.
Family Dynamics provides seminars to churches and organizations. Some of the seminars are geared towards helping struggling couples, while others offer facilitator training. The facilitator trainings equip those interested in helping couples to go back and lead a marriage and family-enrichment program at their church or organization. They state that a participant doesn't have to be a minister, pastor or counselor to be trained, but they must have a heart for couples and families.
