Someone gives you an opportunity simply because they have faith in you – seemingly for no reason other than because you are a human being with obvious struggles and talents that you may have to offer the world if only given the chance. Those are the times when you are reminded that most of the world is, indeed, good and full of simple love. It reminds me that idealism and hope in people is a strength to be honored and displayed at any given opportunity.

So, for you modern day Medicis out there (and you know who you are) supporting us artists and giving us a chance to arrive at our full potential – cheers to you all for making this world a much more livable and generous place.

I used to be quite an idealist.
