{"id":317,"date":"2006-05-05T11:09:59","date_gmt":"2006-05-05T17:09:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.familyresource.com\/blog\/?p=317"},"modified":"2006-05-05T11:09:59","modified_gmt":"2006-05-05T17:09:59","slug":"frolicking-with-five-year-olds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.familyresource.com\/blog\/2006\/05\/05\/frolicking-with-five-year-olds\/","title":{"rendered":"Frolicking with Five Year Olds&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I just spent the morning at my son&#8217;s school helping out with an animal project.\u00a0 What fun!\u00a0 I had no idea that being around ten to twelve five and six year olds could be so much fun!\u00a0 They are so ripe &#8211; the things they say and the way they see the world is remarkable&#8230;\u00a0 Their minds have such a freshness about them and, god, the way they look at you when they think you know something about the world is unbelievable..\u00a0 And they <strong><em>do<\/em><\/strong> think you know something about the world&#8230; They have no idea that, as an adult, I am basically a failure at most things that are seen as typical &#8220;responsible&#8221; adult type behavior.\u00a0 How amazing.<\/p>\n<p>And it greatly eased my son&#8217;s anxiety about our move.\u00a0 He has been displaying some ill effects from all the packing and stressful situations that come with it..\u00a0 It was good to just get away and play for awhile.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, in my normal habit of thinking everything is a sign for something larger, I know think that I want to teach kindergarten.\u00a0 One day with them and I feel like I would be the best kindergarten teacher in the world.\u00a0 But, I really do think it is something I would enjoy rather thoroughly.\u00a0 You could make it so fun for them (and for you)&#8230;.\u00a0 Just a pipedream for now, I suppose.\u00a0 But it was something that definately made my day..
