{"id":404,"date":"2006-08-23T08:17:16","date_gmt":"2006-08-23T14:17:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.familyresource.com\/blog\/?p=404"},"modified":"2006-08-23T08:19:52","modified_gmt":"2006-08-23T14:19:52","slug":"anticipation-anticipa-yay-tion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.familyresource.com\/blog\/2006\/08\/23\/anticipation-anticipa-yay-tion\/","title":{"rendered":"Anticipation&#8230; Anticipa-yay-tion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Remember that weekend sans children that we got dooped out of a couple of weeks ago.\u00a0 Well, this weekend, we will get our due.\u00a0 The disappointment stung, yes, when we had it swiped right out from under us.\u00a0 And, yes, there was the promise of another weekend, but we figured it was just too good to be true.\u00a0 But, it is NOT.\u00a0 This weekend, my beautiful in-laws are taking the kids on a\u00a0grandkid beach party to celebrate the rebuilding of the new beach house (the old one was destroyed by a hurricane).<\/p>\n<p>And, in true mother form, now that I have gotten what I want &#8211; I am totally remiss about it.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t get me wrong, the idea of spending the weekend with my husband (sleeping in, going to movies, having friends over past 9pm) sounds decadently glorious\u00a0BUT I will admit that now that it is a reality, the fact that they will be out of my bubble of protection for three days is kind of freaking me out.\u00a0 I trust my in-laws completely and know they will be safe.\u00a0 But, that irrational frame of mind that apparently comes with pregnancy can&#8217;t shake the feeling that this weekend will be the weekend that a meteor hits Earth or that aliens will invade or god knows what else..
