Roses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I swear this will be my last blog entry regarding the fact that my daughter remains smugly settled into her terrible two-ness.\u00a0 But, I have to rant just one more time about it.\u00a0 I mentioned yesterday that my son had fall break.\u00a0 It was hard.\u00a0 I started to speak louder and louder to them toward the end of our last day.\u00a0 I had that wierd Steven Colbert look on my face &#8211; you know the wide-eyed one where he looks like he could go psycho-homicidal at any moment?\u00a0 Yeah.\u00a0 That one.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I was laying it on my son pretty thick.\u00a0 &#8220;You&#8217;re older!\u00a0 Set an example!&#8221;\u00a0&#8211; I was mad at him, not her.\u00a0\u00a0I was reaming him for everything she did &#8211; I was blaming him for the lack of balance in our\u00a0home yesterday..\u00a0 How is that fair?\u00a0 She was the one that was going around flipping over the dog&#8217;s water bowl and pulling her brother&#8217;s hair.\u00a0 He was just trying to read a book.\u00a0 He was just trying to build legos.\u00a0 He screamed at her because she very premeditatively ripped the drawing he had been working on for an hour.\u00a0 Yet, he&#8217;s the one that got sent to his room.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>God.\u00a0 Can you smell the guilt on me this morning.\u00a0 I have tried to wash it off, but it is sticking to me like a bad night of drinking brown liquor &#8211; I&#8217;ll be tasting it <strong>ALL<\/strong> damn day.\u00a0 Guilt. Guilt.
