{"id":455,"date":"2006-11-13T09:52:25","date_gmt":"2006-11-13T15:52:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.familyresource.com\/blog\/?p=455"},"modified":"2006-11-13T09:52:25","modified_gmt":"2006-11-13T15:52:25","slug":"6-wasted-hours-of-my-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.familyresource.com\/blog\/2006\/11\/13\/6-wasted-hours-of-my-life\/","title":{"rendered":"6 Wasted Hours of My Life&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>2 1\/2 Hours spent bouncing to (and consequentially, from)\u00a0the airport &#8211; thinking I was on my way to Gainsville, Florida to visit my best friend.\u00a0 I got up at 5am and headed there with Travelocity itinerary in hand.\u00a0 I was feeling footloose and fancy free &#8211; even at 530am &#8211; as I drove down I40.\u00a0 &#8220;Highway to the Danger Zone&#8221; even made a cameo on my radio and I couldn&#8217;t help but turn it up and marvel at the wonder that is Kenny Loggins.\u00a0 I get to the airport, park in long term parking, trudge through the cold rain and make it to the counter &#8211; rosy cheeks, shining grin and ready to check my bag. Carl, my friendly Delta clerk, can&#8217;t find my name in the computer. &#8220;Oh.\u00a0 I said.\u00a0 Well, Carl, here&#8217;s my itinerary.\u00a0 Better check again.\u00a0 Thanks&#8221;.\u00a0 He looks at the schedule on my paper.\u00a0 He looks at the computer.\u00a0 He looks at my crumpled paper again.\u00a0 &#8220;Uhhh. Honey.\u00a0 The reservations on your itinerary say DECEMBER 9th-11th.\u00a0 It&#8217;s November&#8221;.\u00a0 Fuck Travelocity, I thought.\u00a0 Bastards.. How dare THEY screw up my plans!\u00a0 I cursed them all that day.\u00a0 After several glasses of wine with friends that night &#8211; I finally had to face the fact that in my haste to snag a good deal on the website, I adsent mindedly was punching in dates on the little calender icon in December, not November. Score one for the beast of absent minded mommyhood.\u00a0 Gah.<\/p>\n<p>1 hour\u00a047 minutes spent watching <strong><a title=\"movie\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0452594\/\">The Break Up<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 Can I just say,\u00a0I now will live the rest of my life with a complete understanding of why Brad Pitt divorced Jennifer Aniston.\u00a0 If it wasn&#8217;t for her weird oversized head on a smaller than life body frame, it was most certainly for her lack of judgement with movie scripts.\u00a0 One of the worst movies I have ever seen.\u00a0 I thought that Vince Vaughn could keep the whole thing together, but alas, he was misguided.\u00a0 I can forgive him this once and hope that in the future, even if he is trying to get into a girl&#8217;s pants, he will refrain from making a movie so foul.<\/p>\n<p>1 hour 32 minutes spent watching <strong><a title=\"movie2\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0457510\/\">Nacho Libre<\/a><\/strong>.
