The figures vary depending on a woman\u2019s age. The rate is closer to 10 percent for women younger than 30 but climbs to more than 30 percent for women 35 and older.<\/p>\n<p>Miscarriages are defined as the loss of a pregnancy in the first 20 weeks. The loss of a pregnancy after 20 weeks is considered a stillbirth.
