Don&#8217;t get me wrong.\u00a0 It is something I have done since I was fifteen.\u00a0 I&#8217;m just damn tired.\u00a0 That&#8217;s all.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s almost midnight, friday night.\u00a0 I just got home from work.\u00a0 The house is quiet &#8211; everyone asleep but the dog and cat.\u00a0 It would be nice to come home and visit with someone but, I can&#8217;t blame them.\u00a0 I would have gone to bed hours ago, too, had I been home and able.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I find myself stuck in a rut.\u00a0 I know I don&#8217;t want to do this forever &#8211; or at all, for that matter.\u00a0 I am desperate to start something that I will be happy and proud to do for many years.\u00a0 Does that exist?\u00a0 Or will I do things I moderately enjoy for a few years and eventually just give up trying to find that one thing that makes me feel like my work is worth investing my soul in?\u00a0 I know for a fact that working in a restaurant four nights a week is not what makes me sleep well at night.\u00a0 I wake up every morning feeling as if I have wasted so much precious time &#8211; time I could be writing or painting or starting graduate school or making love to my husband.\u00a0 It is all for naught.\u00a0 Sure.\u00a0 It pays some bills.\u00a0 Yes.\u00a0 That is absolutely necessary.\u00a0 I just want to feel fulfilled.\u00a0 Daily.\u00a0 Or at least every other day.\u00a0 I&#8217;d take that.
