Judith Wimpee
Judith Wimpee is a license-eligible psychotherapist who earned her Master's degree from the University of Colorado at Denver in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education, with the main focus on Marriage and Family counseling. She received a BA in psychology from Metropolitan State College of Denver. She is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors.
Judith believes therapy requires a collaborative effort and involvement from both the therapist and the client. She and the client will work together to determine and attain goals in therapy.
Judith does individual, couples, and family counseling. She specializes in grief therapy, which is not limited to death issues only. Grief can also result from events such as divorce or loss of a job. Judith also works with clients around women's issues, such as depression and life transitions. She also has training in play therapy and issues of trauma.
Professional affiliations include: American Counseling Association, American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors, Association for Specialist in Group Work, and American Academy of Bereavement.
Judith is in private practice serving the Highlands Ranch and Littleton, Colorado areas.
