Silvia Lawniczak is a writer, Web Developer, author of a biography in Italian, a translator, but first and foremost a mom. Her special need child, her much loved Nicky, suffers from the Recessive Dystrophic form of Epidermolysis Bullosa. His skin is so fragile, the minumum scratch will result in a 2nd degree burn like wound. She is currently writing a book about her experiences in an effort to help others. She has also lost a child at birth from this condition.

Society for Research in Child Development
The Society is a multidisciplinary, not-for-profit, professional association with a membership of approximately 5,500 researchers, practitioners, and human development professionals from over 50 countries.
The purposes of the Society are to promote multidisciplinary research in the field of human development, to foster the exchange of information among scientists and other professionals of various disciplines, and to encourage applications of research findings. Our goals are pursued through a variety of programs with the cooperation and service of our governing council, standing committees, and members.

For the last 30 years he has been involved in developing learning strategies for children and his techniques have been used to help over 1000 children of all ages. He has trained parents and consulted with public and private schools. He is also the author of Ready to Learn: How to Help Your Preschooler Succeed.
