Maxed-out seniors seeking debt help
JEANNE MORRIS in The Union Leader reports:
Certified credit counselor Karen Dunscombe of American Credit Counseling Service Inc. — which has an office in Manchester and is based in Plainville, Mass. — said twice as many seniors are calling for help today than did four years ago.
“It’s startling,� she said. “Medical expenses are a very large factor in this. What are these people suppose to do? If they don’t have a credit card, they can’t buy their medicine.�
