Keeping track of your kids in a crowd
Erin Ochoa in News 24 Houston reports:
Officers say that no matter where you are, trouble can be lurking around just about any corner. They say communication is key when it comes to steering clear of danger.
“Be open with them and talk to them about stranger danger, being careful, staying with them — ‘We’ll get to everything in the park, you have to stay with us and go at our pace,’ and things like that,” said Roger Wade, with the Sheriff’s Office.
You should also let kids know who they can and cannot talk to. For example, let them know that a staff member or security guard may be able to help out.
